People working together to make good things happen. The joy that is felt is tremendous and memorable. These words can also be used to describe the pleasure it is to be part of a Peter MacDonald Production (PMP). For a moment in time, we are able to put all cares aside while we indulge in the magic of theatre.
In 1996, Peter MacDonald produced the company’s first musical, ‘Scrooge”. Twenty-two years have gone by and this fall, PMP presents their 37th & 38th musical: “Trummp” Oct 2018 and “Scrooge” Dec 2018 . We have spent many hours together enjoying each other’s company and the friendship of the literally thousands who have joined us over the years.
At PMP our goal has always been to foster new talent and to give community minded performers a platform to express themselves. As educators, we the directors, endeavor to provide an atmosphere of learning respect and support as we encourage every cast member to reach their full potential and provide high quality community theatre for the audience. We boast our success through the development of many young performers now working in professional careers at home and beyond. While there are too many to mention individually, we are truly proud of them all.
We would like to express our gratitude to the thousands of people who have contributed to our success on stage and backstage. Thank you to each one of you who are part of our productions this year and the past. Thank you to the many who were seated in our audiences supporting our cast and enjoying the womders of the stage. We are grateful for your talent, commitment, and contribution to PMP. Thanks to the families of these performers for supporting their love of theatre and for the hours of driving to auditions, rehearsals, and performances. It truly is your continued encouragement that makes this all possible.
PMP has brought us lots of laughs and excitement to be sure, but the greatest gift we have received is the wonderful friendships that have grown through our time together in rehearsals, production meetings and performance . We recognize that we have been truly blessed by a delightfully talented group of people both backstage and on stage.
