You must sign up for an audition on our website.
If you want to audition as a singer/actor please fill out the singer/actor audition form and pick an audition time. In order to facilitate seeing all the people that we anticipate at our auditions, you have little as 2 minutes to show your talent. Don’t waste a second! Introduce yourself by speaking clearly and start performing as soon as you are asked. After you sing, the audition panel may ask you a few questions. That will be the time to talk.
We do not provide accompanists for the 1st phase of the auditions; however there will be a piano and if you want to use your phone please feel free to do so.
Everybody will be asked to sing. This can be as simple as “Happy Birthday” or as complicated as a Wagner opera aria. Your choice! Most successful “auditioners” prepare a short section of a musical theatre piece which highlights their acting and singing skills. Actors are welcome to do a short monologue, but you will be asked to sing “Happy Birthday” as well.
You may be asked to stop before you are finished. This is usually a function of time and the audition panel has to move on to someone else.
If you want to audition as a dancer please fill out the dancer audition form. These auditions will take place on Thursday June 15th from 7 pm to 9 pm. You are asked to arrive at 7 pm and you may stay until 9 pm so there are no individual audition slots to sign up for but we want to know you are coming and your contact information so please fill in the dance audition form.
At some point in time you may be asked to recite one of the nursery rhymes found below while demonstrating an emotion. ie. sad, happy, frightened, etc.
Baa, Baa Black Sheep
Baa, baa black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.
One for my master,
And one for my dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.
I’m A Little Teapot
I’m a little teapot
Short and stout.
Here is my handle.
Here is my spout.
When I get all steamed up
Hear me shout:
Tip me over
and pour me out!
Jack And Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Up Jack got and home he trot,
As fast as he could caper.
Went to bed to mend his head
With vinegar and brown paper.
